Harnessing AI to deepen learning while nurturing proficient, curious, and ethical readers and writers.

Literacy with AI

Our approach

As AI reshapes literacy practices, we’re committed to ensuring it strengthens — not replaces — authentic human learning and teaching. With teacher expertise leading the way, we help educators navigate the AI landscape with clarity and confidence, keeping creativity, critical thinking, and genuine learning at the center.

The PAL Compass

The PAL Compass helps teachers and students find their “true north” in the fast-changing AI landscape. Not a rulebook or list of tech tips, it’s a structured yet flexible framework for fostering literacy development with and through generative AI.

It equips educators and students to make thoughtful choices — in the moment and over time — about AI use. Designed for grades 5–12 and applicable across subjects, the PAL Compass keeps learning purposeful, human-centered, and adaptable.

We offer engaging, interactive trainings for secondary educators, school leaders, and teacher educators. All trainings include a collection of tools and resources.
